pretty little things.

Sorry about the not-too-nice phone photos. I haven’t taken many pictures this past week, but wanted to share some of the nice little details that surround me these days. I’m wearing lots of old dresses, and using pretty old tablecloths and a whole passel of lovely vintage aprons that were given to me as an engagement present. You might also see these kinds of things hanging about on the walls around here as decorations of sorts. I tell you what, people used to know what they were doing when they made things! Handy little pockets and careful, bright embroidery make these pieces seem almost like good chums!
In other news, I’m cooking up a storm this week. What’s in store for you?
Love the handmade hanger the little dress is hanging on!!! Neat old stuff!!
How lovely! I have one vintage apron from my great-Grandmother (she wore it!) but I never use it. I stowed it away to preserve it, which half of me thinks is a good idea, and the other half thinks is wasteful. I usually cook quite a bit, but I’m in a cooking funk this week. Haven’t cooked anything!! The only single thing edible that I made I didn’t cook. It was these (and they’re really good–and healthy!): http://thecopycatcook.wordpress.com/2010/09/06/cocoa-nibbles/ I’ve dubbed them “fudge babies” b/c they’re like little balls of (healthy) fudge.
